This portion of the site will be for anyone curious about the story of Jesus or those who have never truly read the story in the bible I will cover His birth, death, and resurrection. The birth of Jesus was foretold nearly 700 years earlier by prophets named Isaiah and Micah. The story of Jesus’ birth can be found in the book of Luke starting at 1:26–38.
Birth of Jesus.
I think the story of Jesus’s conception is pretty well known, whether you read it or heard it. God sent an angel named Gabriel to Nazareth to deliver news to a virgin named Mary. He told her “Rejoice, Highly favored one the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”(Luke 1:28 NKJV). Mary was troubled at his saying and considered what manner of greeting this was. Gabriel continued “Do not be afraid, Mary for you have found favor with God. and behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And he will reign over the house of Jacob forever and of His kingdom, there will be no end.” (Luke 1:28-33:NKJV)
By Jesus being born of a virgin, it makes his conception miraculous, This would mean there would be absolutely no chance of Jesus being the actual offspring of Mary and Joseph.

The story of his birth continues in Luke ch 2. When Caesar Augustus made a decree that everyone should be registered in their own city, Joseph and Mary made the trip back to a city called David in Bethlehem because he was from the house of and lineage of David. (Luke 2:1-4). Because there was no room for them at the Inn, they were taken to a manger. Here, Mary gave birth to Jesus, wrapped Him in swaddling cloth, and laid him in the manger. (Luke 2:6-7). While a few shepherds kept watch of their flocks in the same country, an angel from God appeared to them and said “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people! For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign for you; You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths laying in a manger.” After the angel had departed and gone back to Heaven, the shepherds began their journey to see what the Lord had made known to them. They came upon Joseph and Mary, and the baby laying in the manger, just as the angel had told them. In Matthew 2:!1, the Bible tells us the shepherds then opened their treasures & presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
As stated earlier, the prophets Isaiah and Micah foretold the birth of Jesus; that He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14) and that the savior would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)
Death and Resurrection of Jesus
For this, I used multiple books (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) to ensure I included all the important events related to Jesus’s death and resurrection.
Prior to it, Jesus predicted his death and resurrection multiple times throughout the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John. He also predicted Judas’s future betrayal. The chief priests sought to kill Jesus for his claims of being the Son of man and king of the Jews. Seeing his opportunity, Judas Iscariot approached the chief priests and inquired how much they’d pay him for the betrayal. Judas accepted the thirty pieces of silver to betray Jesus. (Matt 26:14-16) As Jesus celebrated Passover with his disciples, he initiated what is famously known as the Last Supper. (Matt 26:26-30) Jesus then makes his way to a place called Gethsemame where he took three of his disciples who stood guard as He prayed in the garden. He prayed to God twice saying “If it is possible, let this cup pass from me unless I drink it, Your will be done”. Both times he prayed this, the disciples who stood guard fell asleep. He went away a third time and then came and said to his disciples “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer, is at hand.” (Matt 26:36-46). As He was speaking to his disciples, Judas approached along with the chief priests and elders armed with clubs and swords. He had told them whomever he kisses is the One and to seize him. Immediately Judas walked up to Jesus, kissed him, and said “Greetings, Rabbi”. MAtt 26:47-49). Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took him. As they were, one of Jesus’s disciples drew his sword and cut off an ear of the highest priest. But Jesus said to HIm “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father and he will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?” Jesus then turned to the multitudes and said “Have you come out, as a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize me. But all of this was done so that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled. (Matt 26:52-56)

Those that laid hands on Jesus and took him to Calaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. The chief priests and the elders sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death but found no reason to. Many of the false witnesses came forward with none, but the last two came forward saying “This fellow said ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days”. When the high priest arose and asked Jesus to answer the witness’s claims, Jesus remained silent. So the priest responded to his silence by saying “I put you under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus responded “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of the Power and coming on the clouds of Heaven.” Then the high priest tore his clothes and said “He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look now we have heard his blasphemy!”. When he asked those before him what they thought, they agreed he was deserving of death. They then began to spit in His face and beat Him, while others struck him with the palms of their hands. (Matt 26:57-68)
After this had conspired, the chief priests and elders took Jesus to go before Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor. As He faced Pilate, the governor asked him “Are you king of the Jews?” Jesus responded, “It is as you say.” The chief priests and elders continued to accuse Jesus, but He remained silent. Pilate then asked Jesus “Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?” Still, Jesus remained silent which marveled Pilate. (Matt 27:1-2, 11-14). At the time of the feast, the governor would release one prisoner to the multitudes, whom they would choose. They had a notorious prisoner called Barabbas. When he and Jesus were side by side, Pilate asked “Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas or Jesus who is called the Christ?” His wife approached him as he sat in the judgment seat and told him she had suffered greatly in dreams and to have nothing to do with Jesus’s death. Still, the multitudes, chief priests, and elders all cheered to have Jesus put to death. Pilate asked again who should be released to them, and they all cheered “Barabbas!”. Seeing he had no way out, and to prevent the crowd from rioting, Pilate took water and washed his hands before the multitudes and said “I am innocent of the blood of this Just person. You see to it.” So he released Barabbas to them and delivered Jesus to be crucified. (Matt 27:15-26)
Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into Praetorium and gathered the whole garrison around Him. They stripped Him, and put Him in a scarlet robe then twisted a crown of thorns on his head. Then they put a reed in his right hand and bowed the knee before Him, saying “Hail, King of the Jews!”They spit on him and struck him over the head with the reed. After they had mocked Him, they put His clothes back on Him and sent Him off to be crucified. (Matt 27:27-31).

As they came out, the soldiers commanded a Cyrene named Peter to help Jesus carry his cross. When they reached Golgotha or Place of a Skull, they gave Jesus sour wine mingled with gall. But when He tasted it, he would not drink. (As I researched this, I found out this was typically given to prisoners before their execution to alleviate some of the pain.). Then they crucified Him with his charge above His head which read “This Is Jesus the King of the Jews”. While he was being crucified, there were two criminals being crucified with him. One on his left, one on his right. (Matt 27:32-38) One of the criminals blasphemed Him saying “If you are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” The other rebuked him saying “Do you not even fear God, seeing as you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justify, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom” And Jesus responded “Assuredly I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise” (Luke 23:39-43)
On the sixth hour, darkness came over the land and stayed until the ninth hour. The sun was darkened and the veil of the temple was torn. Jesus then cried out “Father into your hands I commend my spirit!” and breathed his last breath. (Luke 23: 44-46) When the centurion saw what had happened, he exclaimed “Certainly this was a righteous Man!”. Seeing what they had done, the crowd that had gathered began to beat their breasts and returned. All his acquaintances and women who had followed him stood from a distance watching.

A man named Joseph was a council member and a good and just man. Being from Arimathae, a city of the Jews, he did not consent to their decisions and was also waiting for the kingdom of God. He approach Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. As he took the body down, he wrapped it in linen and laid it in a tomb that was cut out of the rock where no one had ever been laid. The women who came with him from Galilee followed and observed the tomb and how the body was laid. Then they returned to prepare spices and oils then proceeded to rest on the Sabbath as is in the commandments. (Luke 23:50-56)
When Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to the tomb, there was a great earthquake and an angel descended from heaven and rolled the stone away then sat on it. Then the angel spoke to them saying ” Do not be afraid for I know you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell his disciples that He has risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, behold, I have told you.” They left the tomb with fear and great joy and ran to tell the disciples. As they did, Jesus met them saying “Rejoice!” and they came and held him by the feet and worshipped Him. Jesus said to them “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee and there you will see Me” (Matt 28: 1-10)
As they left, some guards came into the city and reported the things they had seen. The elders consulted together and presented the soldiers with a large sum of money telling them “Tell them ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept and if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and make you secure.” So they took the money and did as instructed. This saying is still reported among the Jews to this day. (Matt 28:11-15

The eleven disciples made their way to Galilee as Jesus had commanded. When they saw him, they worshipped him while some still had doubts. (28:16-17) Thomas is one of them. Thomas said to them “Unless I see in His hands, the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe” Eight days later, the disciples met up again, this time with Thomas. Jesus came and stood in their midst and said “Peace to you!” Then said to Thomas “Reach your finger here, and look at my Hand; and reach your hand here, and put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” Then Thomas answered and said to Him “My Lord, and my God!” (John 20:24-29). He appeared to them again later as they sat at a table. He said to them “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe; In my name, you will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them, they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” After speaking this, He was received in Heaven where he sits at the right hand of God. The disciples went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirmed the word by the signs Jesus gave. (Mark 16:14-20)
